Chy Chi is a Korean-American writer, director and Buddhist from Seattle. Her graduating thesis, HOW TO CRACK HARD-BOILED EGGS world premiered at the Vienna International Film Festival in 2016. She is currently in development on two projects. Her feature debut, EIGHT MYSTERIOUS QUALITIES OF THE OCEAN (Sundance Screenwriter's Intensive Lab, Gotham Project Market Week, WScripted's 25 Excellent Screenplays by Women for Cannes Film Market, Semi-finalist Screencraft Dramatic Competition.) She is also the creator and writer of HOT DISH, a 1 hour drama/comedy tv series (Gotham TV Series Lab.) Her work has screened at San Diego Asian Film Festival and other festivals around the world. She is a Sentient Art Line of Sight fellow. She has a masters in film directing from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and she is currently based in Seattle.
